The right storage services save data

Industry-related

Digitalization opens many new opportunities for businesses. But there are also other challenges. Not least when it comes to data stored in the cloud. Modern storage services need to be easy to manage and scale up and down as needed. Procedures are needed to ensure the secure handling of sensitive information.

We’ve talked about it before but it bears mentioning again. Cloud computing is not really a new phenomenon. It is based on the same principle as the practice of leaving your server in someone else’s server room. Storing data where there is space and where you can set requirements on how it is handled and by whom. However, it is interesting to continue to look more closely at how storage services are affected by the cloud. The biggest difference is that IT is consumed in a new way today, there are rarely long-term contracts for larger storage capacity and then we who work with storage must relate to it and develop new services for the new needs.

How data is stored depends on how it will be used and by whom. Historically, information was written down on stone tablets to be saved, i.e. stored, for the future. What we store is data that is saved and should be searchable for future use.

We want to help more people archive in a way that ensures data is stored securely over time without breaking the bank.
